A recognized speaker and workshop facilitator, Ni-ka has presented on topics including representation and inclusivity in medical illustration, effective design for science education, medical visualization, and the intersection of art and science. She also speaks on discovering purpose through creativity and alignment, encouraging audiences to use their unique skills to make meaningful contributions within their fields.
As a Fellow of the Association of Medical Illustrators (FAMI) and former Chair of the Association's Diversity Committee, Ni-ka has led initiatives that foster greater inclusion within the profession, expand representation in medical imagery, and promote more equitable visual communication. Through her presentations, she challenges conventional approaches to medical imagery. She challenges audiences to think critically about representation and demonstrates how inclusive, thoughtfully designed visuals can improve education, foster belonging, and advance health equity.
